While the U.S. and European markets for aesthetic product and equipment are slowing on market saturation and reduced consumer spending in relatively weak economies, the corresponding Asian markets are accelerating. Four main types of aesthetic treatments are experiencing strong expansion in Asia: energy-based treatment for hair removal, skin rejuvenation, tattoo removal, pigmented lesions and vascular lesions; body shaping and/or skin tightening; injection with neurotoxins; and dermal filler treatment.
